Additional information about transcripts is in this document. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as:
1) Advising on two or more radiation safety protective equipment such as sensors, detectors and decontamination equipment to support results of ionizing and nonionizing radiation evaluation. 2) Prepare evaluation plans relating to radiation hazard threats and 3) Develop, review, and execute environmental radiation monitoring plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). ALL candidates must possess the Basic Educational Requirement to be considered for this position. Basic Educational Requirement-Health Physicist 1306 (Transcripts Required) Degree:
natural science or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus or Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown above, plus appropriate experience or other education. or Certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, plus appropriate experience and other education that provided an understanding of sciences applicable to health physics comparable to that described in paragraph above. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
