POLICE OFFICER (DESK CORPORAL)

Receiving telephone and in person requests for law enforcement support. Searching, processing and maintaining accountability of all prisoners and their property. Performing a variety of traffic control duties. Reviewing all police reports and supporting documentation for accuracy. Obtaining verbal and written statements. Providing law enforcement services within military housing areas, recreation areas, and commercial establishments. Ensuring the dispatching of police personnel. Providing on the job training to new employees. Providing inventory of law enforcement equipment prior to assuming shift and account for all property. Who May Apply:
US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualified candidates for the Police Officer (Desk Corporal) position must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service. For this position substitution of education for the lack of specialized experience is not permitted. MP Specialized Experience Statement:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service which includes (1) Enforcing a range of law enforcement activities, which involve responsibility for maintaining order and protecting life and property; (2) Insuring the protection of personnel, information, operations, and critical assets and (3) Preparing accurate and concise police reports while following established guidelines. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
