Airborne Systems Integration Operation (ASIO) is seeking a Software Engineer for the Airborne Reconnaissance Low Enhanced (ARL-E) program. ARL-E is a multi-year program supporting the U.S. Army with upgrading and enhancing the ISR capabilities of their airborne reconnaissance fleet. The position will perform day-to-day design, development, documentation, integration, and testing of an airborne ISR system. The candidate will be part of a multi-company team as part of the program. The candidate will design, document, develop, integrate, and test software components into a single AISR system to meet system performance requirements. The Software Engineer will report to the Software Engineering Lead. The candidate must possess knowledge of software development lifecycle and software engineering role throughout the lifecycle is required.
Preferred located is in Northern Va or Aberdeen, MD (customer location). 25% travel may be required as required to subcontractor and support site visits, with willingness for occasional international travel.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities: The Software Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, documentation, and testing of software components and subsystems for an Airborne ISR system. The candidate will participate in the full development lifecycle; requirements analysis, documentation, design, development, and test and evaluation of the software components developed and delivered as part of the AISR program.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline (major in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering).
3-5
years progressive experience in software and/or systems development with Information Technology.
Experience programming in Java/C++
Experience with documentation, development, and utilization of Software Development Kits (SDK) and Application Programmer Interfaces (API) for sensors, computer equipment, and communication devices.
Possess strong problem-solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
Active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret
ADDITIONAL
Qualifications:
Experience and proficient with web development languages such as JavaScript, Angular JS
Experience with web services and REST, SOAP
