Incumbent will apply knowledge laws, regulations, policies, principles, standards, techniques, and concepts related to public communication and Army Public Affairs to research, develop, prepare and disseminate information products in a wide range of media forms. Duties require the research, writing and editing of articles for use in internal and external publications, with topics spanning all CERDEC core technical competency areas and each of the center's directorates. Efforts to amplify the reach of information products beyond Army-owned platforms will involve media pitching, content development and placement, and social media engagement.
Assignments will require developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal personnel, providing communication guidance, media preparation and content editing support . Incumbent will be effective in nurturing external media contacts in order to better understand needs, priorities and opportunities. He/she will represent the CERDEC CPC Office in a professional manner, being responsive to queries and providing accurate information that has been appropriately reviewed for release to the public. Contributes to the development of interactive medium for information dissemination both internally and externally through social media engagement and content development. Enhances and grows CERDEC CPC's ability to produce quality video products in-house.Supports CERDEC corporate and public communication team in implementing communication strategies that align with Army/DoD initiatives. As proficiency increases, researches, develops and executes strategies for increased internal communication and employee engagement on MilSuite, FaceBook and SharePoint platforms. Works collaboratively as a team member on larger projects to foster creativity and dialogue toward innovative products.

Experience required:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized/general experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-07. Specialized experience is defined as experience in interpreting program policies and recommending solutions to public affair issues. Develop, edit and proofread communication materials. To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized/general experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as experience writing and communicating principles, methods and techniques of public affairs; developing new information materials including news release, fact sheets, brochures, booklets, broadcast spots etc; and making on the spot presentations to audiences.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
