The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group of Leidos is seeking a talented Graphics Specialist for our Aberdeen MD location.
Successful candidate will serves as a journeyman Graphics Specialist for the HPCMP at the Army Research Lab (ARL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) in Aberdeen MD. Provides scientific visualization support for HPCMP users through the use of advanced COTS graphics hardware and software and the development of graphics software products.
Develops graphics and visualization products in support of scientific data modeling for research projects across a broad array of disciplines. Specific duties include but are not limited to: collection and analysis of modeling and visualization project requirements; assessment of required hardware and software tools; visualization software development, visualization software code modification and customization to support unique research needs and visualization effects; the identification and selection of visualization software for implementation on computing systems; and the management and integration of visualization capabilities at the ARL DSRC.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant discipline and 5
years experience in the developing computer graphics products in a research or technology organization.
Must have a working knowledge of computer graphics and scientific visualization to include hardware and software rendering technologies and be able to adapt to new requirements and a variety of data sources and formats to complete complex assignments using visualization software.
Candidate must also have an understanding of computer applications, languages, and technologies.
Candidates must possess an active DOD Secret Level security clearance.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of HPC technologies, users, and applications in support of DoD priorities.
