SharePoint Developer - Intermediate

STG has an immediate opening for and SharePoint Developer-Intermediate to be responsible for supporting the development, testing and implementation of Intranet portals for U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The developer will be collaborating with developers to support the coding and development within.
Main duties will be working closely with our development team and serve as a SharePoint developer for custom applications and SharePoint customization. Qualified candidates will be able to contribute functional knowledge and technical expertise independently and in small teams in the delivery of optimized SharePoint solutions.
Support and development of SharePoint site and SharePoint MOSS 2010/2013 components (web parts, application pages, page layouts, etc.) for enterprise scale Portals and Collaboration solutions.
Support and development of Content and Document Management process using SharePoint server.
Support and development of customizations for branded solutions including master pages, CSS style definitions, templates, and themes.
Aid the support and development of integration points between the SharePoint solution and external business applications.
Support the creation, execution and documentation of functional and automated tests necessary to ensure that delivered product meets requirements.
Support the planning, designing, and developing of solution and feature packages.
Support the development of technical specifications to meet solution functional and non-functional requirements.
Provide SharePoint maintenance support to identify SharePoint application enhancements or resolve defects.
Develop and communicate SharePoint site usage and security policies and standards to all users.
Establish policies and procedures for publishing sites and applications in conjunction with content creators.
BS/BA in Computer Science or directly related field (e.g., Information Technology, Information Science, etc).
Three (3) years of related development experience.
Two (2) years concentration in Microsoft SharePoint custom development, with experience with SharePoint Designer 2010, MS Infopath and Visual .
Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to fully participate in project conceptual design phases.
Knowledge of SharePoint Designer and Web parts (including customized templates, especially those used for Web publishing and collaboration).
Experience in web part installation, configuration and error resolution for MOSS 2007/2010/2013.
DoD Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Meets DoD 8570.01 requirements for IAT-II, e.g. CompTIA Security+, appropriate CE training/certificates, and enrollment in the CompTIA continuing education program
Considerable knowledge of writing code for custom web parts and features; deploying list and site templates; UI development (Web Forms, JavaScript, DHTML/HTML, XML/XSLT, MVC) and business logic development; knowledge of templates using XHTML and including C# and code and other SharePoint-specific markups.
