Leidos has an opening for a Program Admin Assistant for a customer-site position located within a US Army Research Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
The successful candidate will support technical staff as required to include electronic calendars and scheduling, procurement and travel arrangements. Documenting training requirements and inputting data to several web-based applications as needed. Manage customer and project correspondence to include typing, editing, filing and routing. Requirements also include a need for basic math proficiency, advanced word processing, preparation of electronic presentations and experience creating and using electronic spreadsheets.
Responsible for providing specialized project support to relieve and assist government management team.
Act as primary liaison with customer administration and several support functions (i.e., Accounting, Travel, Human Resources, Security, Procurement, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities as well as technical services organizations).
Coordinate the implementation of organizational procedures and programs pertaining to these administrative specialties; prioritize and carry out complex assignments and exercises independent judgment, initiative and tact.
Make administrative decisions and based on knowledge of the client's organization, policies and personnel.
Facilitate adherence to established guidelines, procedures and policies, while acting as the primary liaison with organizational-level administration and support functions.
Interact daily with functional peer groups; interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information.
HS diploma and 5+ years of specialized administrative support experience of an increasingly responsible nature.
Experience with MS Office software, especially MS Excel.
Due to security requirements only US citizens can be considered.
Experience supporting a DoD service laboratory and familiarity with all current DoD administrative software systems (GFEBS, TAPES, ATAAPS, etc) and MS Access would be preferred.
Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to collect, organize and track inputs from multiple resources.
Must be an independent self-educator with a record of supporting government research offices and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
