Qualifications
Work with Business Analysts, Application Developer, Solution Architects and Data Architects in analyzing business requirements, specifications and technical design documents to define the optimal database solution.
Design, develop, test, tune, and implement procedural database code using Microsoft SQL Server. This includes but is not limited to, stored procedures, views, and functions.
Create and propose technical design documentation which includes current and future functionality, database objects affected, specifications, and flows/diagrams to detail the proposed implementation.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to database development of specific systems.
Additional Requirements
Minimum five years of continual hands-on experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 development.
Extensive knowledge of T-SQL including complex SQL queries (ex: using various joins and sub-queries) and best practices
Familiarity with RDBMS principles, database design and normalization
Experience with advanced query design, stored procedures, views and functions
Experience with index design and T-SQL performance tuning techniques
Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
