Position SummarySURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Robotics Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation.
You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Robotics Researcher Design algorithms for novel robot system behaviors.
Integrate algorithms on individual and teams of robots and evaluate the quality of performance of the desired behaviors through experimentation.
Design, fabricate, and integrate mechanical and electronic components to enable novel behaviors of air and ground robots.
Conduct and participate in a variety of component, subsystem, and system level experiments for air and ground robots in controlled indoor and outdoor environments.
Conduct robot experiments using a motion capture system to measure system dynamics and correlate system performance to component design decisions.
Setup, maintain, calibrate, and activate electrical and mechanical subassemblies.
Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Travel and test in real-world setting, including outdoors.
Develop and abide by safe testing protocols and standard operating procedures.
Prepare and present presentations and written documents summarizing efforts Minimum Qualifications of Robotics Researcher Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Robotics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 1
years of related experience.
Primary Knowledge & Skills Desired Experience with Linux, Python, and C variants.
Familiarity with robotic systems including hardware (e.
g.
, motors, batteries, propellers, GPS, mRo autopilot, radios) and software (e.
g.
, ROS, QGroundControl, PX4, Mission Planner, etc.
).
Experience with design, selection, and fabrication of mechanical and/or electronic components and systems.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electronics (board/component repairs).
Familiarity with wire/cable fabrication and harnessing.
Experience with benchtop electronics equipment (e.
g.
, multimeter, power supplies, oscilloscope) and/or mechanical fabrication equipment (e.
g.
, mill, lathe, water jet), and hand tools.
Capable of soldering, testing, and troubleshooting printed circuit board (PCB) and other similar components.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
