As a Lab Software Engineer you will:
Work closely with our customers to integrate cutting-edge technologies into systems that are used to protect the lives of service members in the fieldWork independently in a small multi-disciplinary team utilizing their experience to steer software requirementsCreate software to interface with and correctly drive hardware for real time simulationsAnalyze data for performance measurements of real time simulations and analysis of hardware output signalsUse OEM/internally developed missile warning system models and be able to interface into every part of the processing chain and extract needed informationDevelop tools to analyze model outputs and understand model caveatsDevelop algorithms and analyze specifications of advanced sensors and be able to produce an estimate of performance improvement based on algorithmic techniques that could be employed (could be done as a parametric study of each of the sensor characteristics)
Qualifications:
Education/Experience Required:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific/engineering discipline.
8 to 10 years with BS/BA6 to 8 years with MS/MA3 to 5 years with PhDRequired Clearance/Skills:
Active SECRET Clearance is requiredBackground in scripting languages (MATLAB, Python, R)Understanding of imaging systems and their processing chains (image processing, object detection, object classification, etc.
)Understanding of state-of-the-art ML/AI for classification (one vs.
all or multiclass) techniques and applicationsUnderstanding of large data sets and how to make best data products for a given assignment based on data needsAbility to take abstract direction and produce desired data products in a timely mannerUnderstanding of advanced image processing techniquesDesired Skills:
Experience making code to handoff to production teamsStrong Object-Oriented programing capability (C+
preferred)Strong computer graphics/scene rendering backgroundUnderstanding of imaging systems and the physics of light emission, propagation, and detectionExperience in the US DoD/IC research communityExperience/interest in business development including idea generation, white papers, and proposals Peraton Overview:

Colorado Salary Minimum:
$75,600 Colorado Salary Maximum:
$183,300 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
