Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct high-fidelity, multiphase, reactive flow CFD modeling and simulation efforts to evaluate the dynamic combustion behavior and corresponding propulsion dynamics for gun, rocket, and air-breathing systems using established computer-aided engineering CFD software such as Ansys/Fluent and similar software packagesPerform analyses using simulation results to develop trends and insights of the physics governing the propulsion and combustion processes of gun, rocket, or air-breathing systems using engineering software such as MATLAB, Python, and similar toolsInvestigate novel propulsion systems and subsystems using modeling and simulationDevelop approaches to improve combustion and propulsion systems using insights gained from modeling and simulation efforts.
Support tasks are complex and require the application of advanced physics, combustion, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and engineering principlesDevelop and simulate the high-fidelity, multiphase (eg, 2-phase), reactive flow CFD of gun, rocket, air-breathing systems and corresponding subsystems and generate results to be used in postprocessing analysesDevelop numerical tools for the quick, cursory trade space analysis of prototype gun, rocket, air-breathing propulsion and combustion systems as they are developed during the R cycleUse modeling and simulation to provide insight and diagnose nonintuitive or otherwise unanticipated experimental results from gun, rocket, and air-breathing propulsion and combustion system experimentsDevelop and conduct simulations at ARL experimental facilities, other Government agencies, contractor sites, and academic sitesResearch the elements of a combustion that occurs in gun, rocket, and air-breathing propulsion systems using high-fidelity, multiphase, reactive flow CFD modeling and simulation softwareQualificationsPhysical sciences or engineering degree.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
