Summary:
IAP is seeking a Ballistics Engineer with extensive experience in fire protection and mitigation and ammunition compartmentation research and experimentation to provide direct support to the Army Research Laboratory on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Candidates must be a US citizen with an active U.S. Department of Defense SECRET clearance. Essential Job Functions:
(not limited to duties as described - performs related duties as requested) Assist, advise, and help design EEB Experimental setups for the execution of various fire protection/mitigation research experiments. Assist in the execution of experiments. Assist in Analysis efforts in support of internal and external customers Fire protection / mitigation research efforts, supporting mission and customer programs. Assist lead engineer and EEB personnel, to learn and become proficient in understanding and interpreting experimental data. Co-author summary reports of experimental results and experimental methods. Complete experiments, data analysis, presentations and reports. Level of Supervision:

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical in Science or Engineering 25
years of relevant experience. License & Certifications:
N/A Knowledge & Skills:
Experience with advanced fire protection and mitigation technologies, experimental techniques, data analysis, and understanding of historical efforts in fire mitigation. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks independently. Excellent follow through and time management skills. Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Full-time position (40 hours per week) with flexible work schedule.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real Estate, Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
